AIA Vitality Programme

1. How do I join AIA Vitality?  

If you are an AIA policyholder or insured with AIA and you are eighteen (18) years of age or older, you may sign up to the AIA Vitality programme through:

  • eCare - go to  www.aia.com.sg and login to eCare to join the programme. If you do not have access to eCare, you can call us on 1800 248 8000 or visit AIAVitality.com.sg to sign up.
  • Your AIA Financial Services Consultant(FSC)/Insurance Representative(IR) - approach your FSC/IR to let him/her know you want to sign up for the AIA Vitality programme.
  • AIA Customer Service Centre - just walk-in to our Customer Service Centre branch and let a Customer Service Officer know you want to sign up to AIA Vitality programme.

2. How do I earn AIA Vitality Points?  

You earn AIA Vitality Points by engaging in a number of activities focused on helping you know more about your health and improving it. Earn AIA Vitality Points by getting to know more about your health using our online health assessments or go for health/dental screenings or vaccinations - it all adds up. After you know more about what you need to improve, you earn AIA Vitality Points for healthy activities such as gym visits, physical exercise, buying HealthyFood™ items and declaring non-smoker status. Your AIA Vitality Points add up to help you achieve your AIA Vitality Status - an indication of how much effort you are making to improve your health. The more AIA Vitality Points you earn, the higher your AIA Vitality Status and the greater the rewards you can enjoy.

3. What is AIA Vitality Status?  

As you take steps to improve your health, we will award you AIA Vitality Points. Your AIA Vitality Points add up and help you achieve what we call your AIA Vitality Status. As an AIA Vitality member you start on Bronze Vitality Status. As you get healthier and accumulate AIA Vitality Points, your AIA Vitality Status improves from Bronze, to Silver, then Gold and ultimately Platinum! The higher your AIA Vitality Status, the greater your rewards.

5. How do I check if my AIA Vitality Points are updated?  

Your AIA Vitality Points may take up to two (2) weeks to reflect on your AIA Vitality Points Statement after completion of your wellness activities such as logging a workout and nutrition tracking as well as wellness activities at our partner outlets, such as Cold Storage, Fullerton Healthcare and our fitness club partner.

Your AIA Vitality Points should be reflected on your AIA Vitality Points Statement within two (2) weeks of you completing an activity. They can be checked on your AIA Vitality Points Statement or AIA Vitality mobile app. If your AIA Vitality Points are not reflected on the AIA Vitality Points Statement, please email us at  support@aiavitality.com.sg or call us at 1800 248 8000.

Please note for certain activities such as Vitality Health Check at any of our partners’ outlet or with your own preferred clinic or fitness assessments at our fitness club partner, you may need to key in your results and upload scanned reports to our website, to obtain AIA Vitality Points. Please refer to each   partner benefit guide for further details.

6. How long do I retain my AIA Vitality Status once I reach it?  

Once you have reached your AIA Vitality Status it will remain throughout the membership year and will be carried over to the following membership year. Your AIA Vitality Points however will not be carried over to the following membership year and will be reset to zero. In order to maintain your AIA Vitality Status, you will need to accumulate sufficient AIA Vitality Points in each year.

For example: Claire achieves Gold Vitality Status in her 1st year and can instantly enjoy the rewards and benefits as a Gold Vitality member. Claire's Gold Vitality Status will be carried over to the 2nd year and she may continue to enjoy the rewards and benefits of a Gold member. To maintain her Gold membership through to the 3rd year, Claire will need to continue with her wellness activities and accumulate sufficient AIA Vitality Points. If Claire fails to accumulate enough points, her AIA Vitality Status in the 3rd year will be set according to the points she earned in the 2nd year.

7. What happens when my AIA Vitality Points are not reflected accurately?  

If you believe your AIA Vitality Points are not reflected accurately, please email us at support@aiavitality.com.sg or call us on 1800 248 8000. We may need you to provide us with relevant details such as receipts and screenshots of your workouts.

8. Can I transfer AIA Vitality Points or benefits to my spouse/children?  

AIA Vitality Points and benefits are not transferable to another person/member.

9. What happens to my AIA Vitality membership when my AIA insurance policy(ies) have matured/ceased?  

Your AIA Vitality membership will remain valid until the end of your membership year. You will not be able to renew your membership if you no longer own any AIA insurance policy or are no longer insured with AIA.

If you decide to take up a new AIA insurance policy within sixty (60) days of the end date of your AIA Vitality membership, we will retain your AIA Vitality Points and AIA Vitality Status provided the insurance policy is successfully incepted within the sixty (60) days period.

10. Can I pay my AIA Vitality membership fees together with my AIA insurance premiums?  

AIA Vitality membership fee is charged separately from your AIA insurance premiums. The billing date of your AIA Vitality membership fee may not fall on the same date as your AIA insurance policies.

11. How do I renew/cancel my AIA Vitality membership?  

Your AIA Vitality membership runs for a period of twelve (12) months from the date you join the AIA Vitality Programme and is automatically renewed. To ensure that your membership is in place, please inform us of any changes in your payment details.

Please note that cancellation of your AIA Vitality membership will mean losing access to all AIA Vitality rewards and benefits, AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits.

12. How do I pay for my AIA Vitality membership?  

AIA Vitality offers several convenient ways for you to make payment for your membership fees:

  1. GIRO: You may sign up for GIRO payment by calling AIA Customer Care Hotline at 1800 248 8000 or emailing support@aiavitality.com.sg to request for a GIRO form.
  2.  AXS: You may wish to make payment through the AXS machine find locations here), AXS e-station or AXS m-station through the mobile app. When you are making payment through the AXS channels, please choose “Vitality Membership” and enter your membership number (for example V123456789) contact number and payment amount.
  3. Cheque: Cheques should be crossed and made payable to AIA Singapore Private Limited.
    Please write your AIA Vitality membership number on the back of the cheque.
  4. Internet Banking: You may pay the membership fees via Internet Banking if you have signed up for Internet Banking service with any of the following banks - DBS, OCBC, UOB, Citibank, HSBC or Standard Chartered Bank. Any queries related to the setting up of the internet banking facilities should be directed to the respective banks.
  5. Singpost branches or Self-service Automated Machines (SAMs): You can pay for the membership fees by cash card or NETS at any Singpost branches. You can also pay the premiums by NETS at any SAM. Please provide your AIA Vitality membership number, contact number and payment amount when making payment. Singpost will issue the receipts directly to you for all payments made at Singpost branches and SAMs.
  6. Credit Card: When you sign up for AIA Vitality using eCare or via AIAVitality.com.sg, you will be prompted to provide your credit card details for payment.  We accept VISA and MasterCard  credit cards.

For recurring payment, do indicate by checking the option in the online payment form.

13. How do I change my payment mode?  

Please email  support@aiavitality.com.sg or call us on 1800 248 8000 for any changes/queries on payment.

14. When do I receive my AIA Vitality membership card?  

Within five (5) working days upon our receipt of your membership fee.

15. Where do I use the AIA Vitality card?  

You need to use your AIA Vitality membership card at our partners' outlets to enjoy AIA Vitality benefits and to earn your AIA Vitality Points.

16. What happens if I lose my AIA Vitality card?  

If you lose your card, you will need to email us at  support@aiavitality.com.sg or call us on 1800 248 8000. There will be a replacement fee chargeable for lost/damaged cards.

Weekly Challenge

17. What is the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge app rewards AIA Vitality members with $5 worth of Rewards every week when they earn 250 Physical Activity Vitality Points weekly. Members need to download the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App and sync a compatible fitness device to track their activities.

18. Can anyone download the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App and start earning the Rewards?  

You need to be a valid AIA Vitality Member and login the App using your AIA Vitality password to start earning the weekly rewards.

19. Where do I download the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

Download the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App from the App store or the Google Play store.

20. How do I login to AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

Please login with your NRIC and AIA Vitality password.

Complete your Online Vitality Health Review in order to earn rewards, sync a fitness device or fitness app that is compatible with AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge app and start clocking your workout points.

22. What are the features of AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App tracks your daily points achieved for each week, allows you to choose your Rewards from our list of Partners and redeem the Reward via the App. You can also add friends to your Fitness Network.

23. What is the difference between AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge and Active Rewards?  

AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge is a mobile app designed to improve and replace the current Active Rewards. Continue to achieve your 250 workout points weekly and get to choose your weekly $5 rewards from Cold Storage or Starbucks!

24. How do I earn points for AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge?  

Work out in a partner gym, track your walk, run, cycle or swim with a tracking device linked to AIA Vitality to earn Physical Activity Vitality Points. Earn at least 250 AIA Vitality Points every week to enjoy the Rewards.

25. How do I redeem my Rewards?  

Log in to the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge app.

  • Tap on the Rewards icon followed by Choose Your Rewards
  • Choose the Reward you wish to enjoy and transfer it to your 'Rewards Wallet'.
  • Once the Reward is redeemed to your 'Rewards Wallet', you may start using it. Note that Rewards expire after 14 days starting from the day you earned your Reward.
  • To use your Reward, flash or key in the in-app unique code according to the instructions on the app and enjoy your Reward!

26. Will I still enjoy the rewards from AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge if I have already achieved the limit of 15,000 AIA Vitality Points from daily workouts?  

Yes, you will still enjoy the Rewards from the Vitality Weekly Challenge App if you achieve your weekly target. You will not earn additional Physical Activity Vitality Points if you have reached the maximum of 15,000 Physical Activity Vitality Points for the membership year.

27. Workout points earned for the week at our fitness club partner will be awarded on the following Monday. Will this count towards my weekly target?  

Yes, the Reward will get pushed out to you if you have achieved your previous week's target.

28. How do I add friends in the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

Log in to the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App.

  • Select 'Friends' tab (2nd tab from the bottm right)
  • Select 'Search' function (located at the top left)
  • Key in your friends' full name or email address.
  • Click on the 'plus' icon beside their name or email address to add them
29. How do I view my profile?  

Go to the 'Friends' Tab (1st tab from the right from at the bottom). From here, you can do the following:

  • Check your Vitality Age
  • View the FAQs
  • Link a Device or App
  • Scan a promotion code
  • Send AIA Vitality an email via 'Contact Us'
30. How do I view my past week's performance?  

Go to the 'Friends' Tab (1st tab from the right from at the bottom). From here, you can do the following:

  • Log in to the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App
  • Select the 'Activity Log' tab (1st tab from the bottom right)
  • Swipe left and right for past and current performance.
31. Am I able to view my past Vitality workout points using the AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge App?  

Your AIA Vitality workout points shown on the App will only be accounted for from the date you first log into the App. To view your existing AIA Vitality workout points earned for the year, please log into the AIA Vitality membership portal to check your points statement.

32. When will my Rewards expire?  

Your AIA Vitality Weekly Challenge Rewards will expire 14 days from the date earned.

Example: If you earn the 250 points on 07 December 2016, your Reward would expire on 21 December 2016.

33. After redeeming the Reward from Rewards Wallet Page, I noticed that the Reward is still being shown. Does this mean that I can re-use the eVoucher?  

The eVoucher will still reflect on the App until it expires after 14 days of earning the Reward. The eVoucher can only be used once.

34. If I first download the App on a Wednesday, do I still need to achieve 250 points for the week to earn my Reward?  

The weekly target for your first week will be pro-rated depending on which day of the week you download the App. You will be able to see your first week's target on the Home screen.


AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits

35. How does the AIA Vitality insurance Benefits work?  

As an AIA Vitality members, you can enjoy free additional coverage or an upfront discount off your first year premium when you buy selected AIA insurance policies.

36. Who can qualify for the AIA Vitality insurance Benefits?  

To qualify for the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits, you must have a valid AIA Vitality membership and be the insured of the eligible AIA insurance policy purchased.

37. If my AIA Vitality Status has changed, when will this be reflected in my AIA insurance premium?  

The AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits based on AIA Vitality Status is determined once a year, forty-five (45) days before the next policy anniversary.

38. If I have been at Gold or Platinum Vitality Status continuously for many years, will my premium discount increase continuously?  

Your premium discount increases each year when you achieve a Gold or Platinum Vitality Status. However, the premium discount is capped at 15%. Based on the example in the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits Guide, in year 4 at Platinum Vitality Status you receive a premium discount of 7%; in year 5 if you continue to be at Platinum Vitality Status, your premium discount will increase to 9%. The premium discount continues to increase if you maintain either Gold or Platinum Vitality Status in subsequent years until the 15% cap is reached.

39. If my AIA Vitality Status is always at Bronze/Silver, will I end up paying more premium than if I were to buy the same policy without AIA Vitality insurance premium discount?  

No, as the AIA Vitality insurance premium discount percentage is floored at 0%.

40. How and when do I receive my AIA Vitality insurance premium discount?  

Your AIA Vitality insurance premium discount will be used to offset your AIA insurance premium. You only need to pay the nett premium amount payable after the AIA Vitality insurance premium discount percentage is applied. You can refer to the Benefit Guide.

41. Is there a limit on the number of policies that I can enjoy the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefit with?  

No, as an AIA Vitality member, you can buy as many policies as you like and enjoy the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefit as long as the policies are entitled to the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefit.

42. If I bought a policy with AIA Vitality insurance premium discount two (2) years ago and I have been at Platinum Vitality Status for the past two (2) years, my current premium discount is 9%. If I buy another policy with AIA Vitality insurance premium discount today, do I also enjoy 9% premium discount on my new policy?  

No, the AIA Vitality insurance premium discount for the new policy will start from the initial premium discount percentage which is 10%*.

*The existing 5% upfront premium discount is only applicable to first-year premiums based on standard life. Discount will not be applicable on any extra premiums due to loading. Discount applicable from the second policy year onwards will depend on the AIA Vitality Status attained and is adjusted against this 5%.The existing 5% upfront premium discount is not applicable to AIA Max Essential.

*The additional 5% premium discount is only applicable to first-year premiums based on standard life and will not be applicable on any extra premiums due to loading. This promotion is available until 30 Nov 2017.

43. What discount will I enjoy if I purchase AIA Max Essential?  

You will receive an upfront discount of 5% from AIA Max Essential in the 1 st policy year. 2 nd policy year, you enjoy Vitality status-based discount each year on renewal (first policy anniversary). If you achieve Gold Status, your premium discount will increase to 1%. In 3 rd policy year, if you achieve Platinum status, your premium discount will increase to 3%. You must maintain Gold/Platinum Status to continue to increase your yearly premium discount, up to 15%.

*The additional 5% premium discount is only applicable to first-year premiums based on standard life and will not be applicable on any extra premiums due to loading. This promotion is available until 30 Nov 2017.

44. Are my existing policies entitled to the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits when I sign up for AIA Vitality programme?  

No, only new eligible policies purchased as an AIA Vitality member will be entitled to the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefit with the exception of AIA Max Essential.

45. When will I be notified on how much my premium amount after discount is for the next policy year?  

We will inform you on the premium discount amount and the nett premium amount payable for the next policy year fourteen (14) days before the next policy anniversary. If you are on GIRO payment, the deduction will automatically be based on the nett discounted premium amount due.

46. What happens to my AIA Vitality Insurance Benefits if I terminate my AIA Vitality membership?  

You no longer get to enjoy the AIA Vitality Insurance Benefit. Your insurance premium discount percentage will be set to 0% starting from the next policy anniversary but your policy(ies) will remain in-force. For example, your current premium discount is at 9%, when you terminate your AIA Vitality membership, your premium discount will be set to 0% starting from the next policy anniversary.

HealthyFood™ Benefit at Cold Storage

47. What benefits do I receive at Cold Storage as an AIA Vitality member?  

As an AIA Vitality member, you can enjoy 15% cashback on HealthyFood™ purchases at Cold Storage when you complete the Online Vitality Health Review or 25% cashback on HealthyFood™ purchases at Cold Storage when you complete the AIA Vitality Health Check. Cashback will be payable in the form of e-vouchers.

You can unlock the cashback on HealthyFood™ purchases at Cold Storage within twenty-four (24) hours after you have completed the online Vitality Health Review or uploaded your Vitality Health Check results from any of our partner outlet or with your own preferred clinic on AIA Vitality Portal. Monthly cashback is based on monthly HealthyFood™ spend cap of S$160 on HealthyFood™, before GST.

You will also earn 10 AIA Vitality Points for every S$4 spent on HealthyFood™ (up to 400 AIA Vitality Points per month) to help you reach a higher AIA Vitality Status and enjoy greater rewards.

Example:

Jo is an AIA Vitality member and she went for an AIA Vitality Health Check at her preferred clinic and activated her 25% cashback on HealthyFood™. Jo then spent S$180 on HealthyFood™ items in the same month. Due to the cap of S$160/month on HealthyFood™ purchases that qualify for the cashback, Jo will receive S$40 cashback.

Jo will also receive 400 AIA Vitality Points (as there is a cap of 400 AIA Vitality Points per month).

48. How do I earn the cashback on HealthyFood™ purchases at Cold Storage?  

Please present your AIA Vitality membership card to the cashier at the point of making payment. The cashier will scan your AIA Vitality membership card to record the HealthyFood™ items you have purchased. If you fail to present your card, we will not be able to track your spend on HealthyFood™ and therefore you will neither be able to enjoy the cashback on HealthyFood™ purchases nor earn AIA Vitality Points

49. Is the cashback applied at the point of sale?  

No, you will receive your cashback in the form of Cold Storage vouchers for use on any item at Cold Storage.

Please note vouchers are issued only in denominations of $5 or $10. If your cashback amount cannot be broken down evenly into these denominations, the remaining amount will be carried over to the following month.

Example:

Jo is entitled to $24 cashback. She will receive two $10 Cold Storage vouchers by email. The remaining $4 will be carried over to the next month and issued with the next month's voucher provided it is within the $5 or $10 denominations.

50. When will I receive my vouchers?  

Vouchers will be sent to you electronically via email in the middle of each month. Issued vouchers can only be used once.

If you do not receive the vouchers by email or have misplaced your unutilized vouchers, you can access your vouchers from your AIA Vitality account. Should you need further assistance, please contact us by email:  support@aiavitality.com.sg or call us at 1800 248 8000.

Here are the steps to accessing your Cold Storage vouchers from the AIA Vitality website:

Login to the Vitality Members’ Portal > Improve Your Health > Healthy Eating > Under Cold Storage – Find Out More > HealthyFood TM – Voucher View> Click on the “I” icon  to reprint the vouchers.

51. How do I redeem my vouchers?  

You can redeem your voucher at any Cold Storage supermarket by printing it out and presenting it to the checkout cashier, who will scan the unique barcode.

52. How do I know how much cashback I have accumulated at Cold Storage?  

You can view your HealthyFood™ spend and cashback accumulated on your AIA Vitality Points Statement which will be updated weekly. To view your AIA Vitality Points Statement, log on to AIAVitality.com.sg

53. Is there an expiry date on the vouchers?  

Cold Storage vouchers will expire six (6) months from the date of issue. Cold Storage’s voucher terms and conditions apply.

54. Which items are HealthyFood™ items?  
  • A’ HealthyFood™’ is food that is nutrient-rich, low in saturated fat, added sugars, sodium (salt), and cholesterol, and free of trans fatty acids. These foods are characteristically good sources of vitamins, minerals and sometimes fibre and usually have a low calorie-density. These are all foods that are believed to have health promoting properties. The AIA Vitality programme has advocated the best choice within each food group to qualify for the cashback, in order to incentivise members to shift their purchasing habits to include more of these foods.

Diets high in saturated fat, high in sugar and low in fibre are associated with an increased risk of developing chronic diseases. Population dietary guidelines recommend that one limits the amount of sugar and saturated fat they eat and increases the amount of fibre consumed.

Therefore, the criteria for HealthyFood™ is as below:

HealthyFood™ items are subject to updates and changes periodically and are subject to availability at Cold Storage supermarkets.

55. How does AIA Vitality's HealthyFood™ list compare to the HPB's Healthy Choice list?  

Both benefits rely on a set of predetermined criteria according to nutritional value. The Healthier Choice symbol indicates which products are the healthier options when compared to similar products. The HealthyFood™ list was devised after considering the best choices within each food group that, when eaten in the recommended quantities, will form part of a healthy, balanced diet. Therefore, the two lists may not contain the same items.

Fitness First

56. What type of club membership is available to AIA Vitality members?  

Exclusively for AIA Vitality Members from 1 June 2018:

You will earn Vitality Points for your workouts at Fitness First clubs.

Please enquire/ sign-up at your preferred fitness club.

57. How do I sign up for the Fitness First AIA Vitality membership and when can I start?  

You can visit a Fitness First club of your choice and present your AIA Vitality Membership Card (physical or eCard) to their staff for verification. You will be required to complete the membership registration forms and make payment for first month's dues and Start-up Fee, if any. A photo of you will be taken and the Fitness First club membership card issued.

You can start the benefit on first day of a calendar month, from 1 June 2018. Your club membership will be renewed upon payment monthly, unless you cancel your club membership/ AIA Vitality membership/ AIA insurance policy.

58. How will I earn AIA Vitality Points at Fitness First?  

You must have your Fitness First membership card scanned at the Fitness First club reception, before you start your workout.

You will earn 100 Vitality Points a day for each workout session at Fitness First. You will only earn points for one physical activity a day, which includes gym/yoga session, walking, running and other activities tracked with fitness devices. If you exercise more than once a day, we will record only the highest points earning activity.

Vitality Points may take up to one week to reflect on your Vitality Points Statement.

59. I would like to cancel my AIA Vitality membership, how does it affect my Fitness First club membership?  

Should your AIA Vitality membership not be renewed and you are within the 12-month contract period of your Fitness First membership, you will be liable for the early cancellation/ termination fee, as advised by Fitness First. Alternatively, you may continue your membership under the prevailing retail rate offered at Fitness First.

60. How will AIA Vitality know if I have been to Fitness First clubs?  

You must have your Fitness First membership card scanned at the Fitness First club reception, before you start your workout. These visits will then be recorded and your Vitality Points will be awarded. It may take up to one week for your points to reflect on your statement.

61. I have an existing contract with Fitness First, do I still qualify for this benefit?  

If you have an existing club membership with Fitness First, your existing contract term must come to an end with no outstanding payment before you can sign up for the AIA Vitality membership benefit. You may, however, earn Vitality Points under your existing contract.

To start earning Vitality Points, simply provide Fitness First with your AIA Vitality membership details at the Fitness First club reception. You will start to earn Vitality Points seven (7) days after registration at Fitness First.

62. I am on a Fitness First corporate club membership, will I be able to earn AIA Vitality Points?  

If you are on Fitness First corporate membership, you will be able to earn Vitality Points. To start earning Vitality Points, simply provide Fitness First with your AIA Vitality membership details at the Fitness First club reception. You will start to earn Vitality Points seven (7) days after registration at Fitness First.

63. How do I cancel my Fitness First AIA Vitality membership benefit?  

Please proceed to any Fitness First club reception to cancel your membership in person, giving one full calendar months’ notice.

If you are within your commitment period, Fitness First will charge a cancellation/ termination fee which they will collect from you. This is part of the Agreement given to you while you signed-up at Fitness First.

65. Can I earn AIA Vitality Points when I walk/jog?  

You can earn up to 100 AIA Vitality Points a day when you walk/jog using a fitness device or a fitness app that can sync with AIA Vitality. AIA Vitality Points are based on the intensity of your exercise and are awarded when you upload your exercise details to AIA Vitality. 66. I am already actively swimming/ cycling/ boxing/ doing weight lifting at my own gym. How do I get points for the workout activities that I’m already doing?

67. I am having problems tracking my workout using my existing fitness device/ fitness application. What should I do?

Only one exercise activity a day will be awarded AIA Vitality Points. If you have done more than one activity, we will capture the activity that earns the highest points, which shall be capped at 100 AIA Vitality Points.

Please note that there is a limit of 15,000 AIA Vitality Points per membership year for all physical activities, which include: gym, yoga and organized fitness events and physical activities tracked with fitness devices

69. I participated in a marathon event recently. How do I receive AIA Vitality Points for this?  

See the list of fitness events for which you can be awarded AIA Vitality Points. You will need to submit the event details such as your bib number, results and other information that may be relevant. We will award you AIA Vitality Points based on the type and distance of the event.

Please note these Vitality Points will not be accorded for Weekly Challenge.

71. I recently completed a health screen/vaccination. Can I use the results to earn AIA Vitality Points?  

Yes! You can earn AIA Vitality Points for all health screens/vaccinations/ tests when you have them done at one of our partners’ outlet or at your own preferred clinics.

72. What is the Vitality Health Check?  

The Vitality Health Check is made up of the following components:

  • Body Mass Index (Weight and height measurement)
  • Blood pressure test
  • Blood glucose test
  • Cholesterol test

You must make an appointment with our partner clinics for your Vitality Health Check. The Vitality Health Check is available to all AIA Vitality members and is priced at S$15

Please note that you will need to input and upload your Vitality Health Check results here to earn your AIA Vitality Points, after your Vitality Health Check.

You will earn up to 6000 AIA Vitality Points if all four of your results are within the healthy ranges. That's 1,500 AIA Vitality Points for each component of the Vitality Health Check - 750 for taking the test, and 750 if the result is within the healthy range.

Points will take up to seven (7) days to reflect on your AIA Vitality Points Statement after you have successfully uploaded the results.

After you have uploaded your results for your Vitality Health Check, you will qualify for a 25% cashback on HealthyFood TM purchases. You will receive an email from AIA Vitality informing you of your eligibility.

73. Do I have to complete the health screen/vaccines with only AIA Vitality partners?  

No. You can visit any of your own doctors if you wish.

75. What happens if I am unable to stop smoking after attending Allen Carr's Easyway to stop smoking seminar?  

Allen Carr's Easyway will refund the full seminar fee if you are still smoking within three (3) months from the date of the first session as long as:

No, these special movie rates are applicable for online booking or iGV App only.

84. Will there be an online booking fee?

85. How many Discount Movie Promo Codes can I request?  

Each AIA Vitality member is limited to two (2) Discount Movie Promo Codes per week. 1 Discount Movie Promo Code is entitled to redeem for 1 movie ticket only. Once the Discount Movie Promo Code is generated, it is considered utilised and deducted from your weekly limit.

86. Is there an expiry date for the Discount Movie Promo Codes?  

Yes, the Discount Movie Promo Codes are valid for 14 days once generated from the AIA Vitality website.

87. How do I collect my online purchase discounted movie tickets?  

Upon successful online booking at GV website, you will receive your e-ticket with an embedded QR code under Quick Tix TM. Simply scan the QR code at the usher point and proceed for entry to the auditorium. No physical tickets will be issued.

Travel - Royal Caribbean International

88. How does the Royal Caribbean discount work?  

The amount of discount you get from our travel partners is based on your AIA Vitality Status at the time of booking. Discount is given on costs of the trip as quoted by Royal Caribbean International, excluding non-commissionable cruise fare, taxes, gratuities and surcharges. Discount is based on double occupancy; there must be a minimum of two (2) travelers. If you choose to travel alone, you will have to pay the normal cruise fare, plus a single supplement charge of 100% of the normal cruise fare, less your AIA Vitality Status Discount.

89. What is the process if two AIA Vitality members are travelling together on Royal Caribbean International?  

If two AIA Vitality members are travelling on the same booking, a primary traveller must be chosen. The primary traveller will receive the AIA Vitality member's discount according to his/her AIA Vitality Status. The second traveller will only qualify for the Bronze Vitality Status (regardless if he/she is an AIA Vitality member). 94. How does the Emirates discount work?  

The level of discount you get from our travel partners is based on your AIA Vitality Status at the time of booking. The AIA Vitality discount applies to the base fare for the flights and is not applicable to taxes, surcharges, fuel, levies, amendment fees, travel insurance or any other incidental/administrative fees etc.

Only Emirates fares on selected routes qualify for the AIA Vitality discount including any special offers / promotion type fares. Discount is given on Economy Class tickets only. Business Class and First Class tickets are excluded from this benefit.

AIA Vitality discount applies to return travel departing from and returning to Singapore. Fares must be booked at least 10 days before departure date.

95. For how many companions is the discount applicable?  

AIA Vitality members are allowed to book for up to 8 accompanying passengers at the Bronze Vitality Status discounted rate. The AIA Vitality member must always be the travelling party on the booking.

96. Can there be any name changes on the AIA Vitality booking?  

Name changes are not allowed. This applies to the AIA Vitality member and his/her companions.

97. What is the process if two AIA Vitality members are travelling together on Emirates?

101. Are cancellations or refunds permitted?

You will not be able to use the rewards miles to pay for your AIA Vitality discounted tickets. You can however still earn Skywards rewards on your bookings per the published fare entitlement, subject to Emirates' terms and conditions.

103. Will my AIA Vitality discounts be automatically calculated at time of booking?  

Your AIA Vitality discount will not be given at the time of booking but you will receive it as cashback in the form of a cheque. We will send the cheque to you within three (3) weeks of receipt of your flight booking confirmation and your mailing address.

122. Will I be able to earn Marriott International Rewards points for my hotel stay?  

If you are a Marriott International Rewards member, you will be entitled to earn Marriott International Reward points for your hotel stay booked through AIA Vitality.


Vitality Health Review, Goals and Clinical Guidelines

123. How is my Vitality Age calculated?  

Your Vitality Age estimates the effect of your lifestyle on your life expectancy. It is calculated using your responses to the Vitality Health Review, your results from the Vitality Health Check, and any other data provided from a verified source, for example a Vitality Nutrition Assessment with a nutritionist/dietitian or a Vitality Fitness Assessment at our fitness club partner. Your Vitality Age may be higher or lower than your actual age, depending on whether your lifestyle is having a positive or negative effect on your overall health.

124. I entered my BMI during the Vitality Health Review (VHR). Why do I not earn AIA Vitality Points for my healthy-range BMI?  

AIA Vitality Points for healthy-range results are awarded based on verified data, not from self-reported values. Verified data is data submitted through a Vitality Fitness Assessment at our fitness club partner, Vitality Health Check, or Vitality Nutrition Assessment with a nutritionist/dietitian.

You will be awarded 1,000 AIA Vitality Points for completing the VHR but not for the self-reported values that you input during the VHR.

125. I am pregnant. Can I still complete my Vitality Health Review (VHR) or Vitality Health Check (VHC)?  

If you are pregnant, you can still complete the VHR and VHC to earn AIA Vitality Points. However, certain parts of the programme will not apply to you. For example, you will not receive a goal to reduce your weight while you are pregnant. Also, your Vitality Age may not be accurate as the underlying calculations do not take pregnancy into account.

126. How are my recommended goals determined?  

Recommended goals are based on your health risks, which are determined by your responses to the VHR and your results from your VHC. The VHR will need to be completed before any goals are recommended. You are given the option to accept the goal after you have completed the VHR.

127. How many AIA Vitality Points can I earn in a year from my personal health goals?  

While all AIA Vitality members have the opportunity to earn AIA Vitality Points by achieving their health goals, you may earn more if you are at risk than if you are not at risk. Not all members will earn the same amount of AIA Vitality Points for same goals, as they are based on an individual's risk profile.  The maximum AIA Vitality Points that you can earn is 6,000 per membership year for achieving health goals.

128. Why are the goals recommended to me fewer or more than those recommended to another member?  

AIA Vitality recommends goals based on whether your measures are considered to be at risk for your demographic group. The goals that are recommended to you are based on your most significant risks. We may recommend fewer goals if you are not at risk in more than one area; or more goals if you are at risk in more than one area.

129. I indicated that I wanted to improve my weight. Why was I not given a goal to achieve this?  

Your goal recommendations are based on whether your measures are considered to be at risk for your demographic group. So, if your weight is considered to be a risk to your health, AIA Vitality will recommend a goal for you to lose weight. Ask your doctor for guidance on your ideal weight if you have any concerns.

130. Can I create my own goals?  

No, as goals are assigned to you by AIA Vitality based on your health risk profile, which is derived from the answers to your Vitality Health Review questions, and other verifiable sources.

131. How are my goals tracked?  

Goals are tracked using verified results which you submit to us directly, or which our partners submit to us on your behalf and with your consent. Examples include the Vitality Health Check results, and workout data submitted through fitness devices such as Fitbit, Garmin and Polar. The AIA Vitality mobile app also allows members to track workouts and upload the health assessment results, giving you the flexibility to keep track of your health and fitness progress anytime, anywhere.

132. I have accepted the goal to lose weight. How will this be verified?  

Weight results must be submitted through a Vitality Health Check, Vitality Fitness Assessment, or Vitality Nutrition Assessment with a nutritionist/dietician. Only weight measurements from a verified source will count toward achieving a goal.

133. What happens after my goal expires and I have not achieved it? Would I be able to set the same goal again?  

Unless there has been a change to your health profile since the goal was initially recommended, you should be able to select the goal again if you did not achieve it by the expiration date.

134. How do AIA Vitality's clinical standards, such as measurements and frequency, compare to Health Promotion Board (HPB)'s standards?  

AIA Vitality guidelines for healthy range results and for measurement frequency are in line with HPB guidelines in Singapore regarding age, frequency, and thresholds. Where necessary, if a guideline is not specific enough, AIA Vitality is aligned to international best practice.

135. Why are Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture and vitamins etc not included in the AIA Vitality programme?  

The AIA Vitality programme is based on evidence-based science and aligns to local government authorities or reputable organisations, such as the World Health Organisation. The programme does not endorse or recommend any particular treatment and is geared towards changing behavior (e.g. eating healthy food).

Regarding the use of supplements/vitamins, the programme promotes a healthy, balanced diet, choosing from a wide variety of nutrient-rich foods and is based on international best practice guidelines. Dietary supplements should not replace a healthy, balanced diet. 136. What is Platinum Bonus?  

As an AIA Vitality member, we reward you a $150 bonus for achieving Platinum Status, for leading a healthier life. Members whose next membership anniversary due date falls after 1 January 2019 and have achieved Platinum Vitality Status will be entitled to the Platinum Bonus amount at S$150.

Members whose next membership anniversary due date falls between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018 will be entitled to the Annual Cashback amount as below. After 31 December 2018, this benefit will cease and be replaced with the Platinum Bonus.

How do I claim my Platinum Bonus?
Upon achieving Platinum Vitality Status, you will be receiving an email from AIA Vitality to provide us with your bank account details. Upon submission of your bank account details, your Platinum Bonus will be credited to you within 90 days after your membership anniversary date. AIA Vitality members who do not provide their bank details within 65 days following their membership anniversary will not receive their Platinum Bonus.

What do I do if I have changes to my bank account details after submission?
Please refer to the following steps to update your bank account details:

  1. Login to AIAVitality.com.sg
  2. Go to the tab "Status Bonus"
  3. Click on "Get Started"
  4. Update your new bank account details

If I have terminated my AIA Vitality membership, will I still be eligible for the Platinum Bonus?
